You are not a real geek unless you know certain classic sci-fy catch phrases.

One of them is from the 1960's campy TV show: Lost in Space.

Recently at the labs, students were learning about 'setters' in Java and how, if you are not careful, you can set a property of an object and forget to look at the side-effects such a change might make.

For example: if you change (set) the radius property of a circle, you must recognize, immediately, that the area will change and make that change as well.

Students were instructed to write 'Danger Will Robinson' in their code comments to help them remember.

The humor was lost on them.
