Let's Make a Deal ~ (1963-2003)
In the olden days, there was a game show, Let's Make a Deal, hosted by master barterer, Monte Hall. Zanily-dressed contestants would vie for prizes that they bargained for with Monte.
A classic climax to each episode featured contestants who were given a choice of picking a prize behind 1 of 3 doors. Behind one door was a valuable prize. Behind the other 2 doors were goofy, non-desirable booby prizes.
Having selected a door, Monte would then reveal one of the remaining doors which featured one of the booby prizes. Contestants were then given the opportunity to change their door selection.
This is an episode from 1973 (according to YouTube) showing the icon doors!

On some mobile devices, rotating to landscape will allow viewing.
Our novices wrote software to simulate this process. You can checkout some of their work in our Processing Showcase under the Shell Game Saga.
Our nostalgia got the better of us watching this clip, so we made a Processing app ourselves showing the iconic doors opening and revealing a 'prize.' Can you write the software to create scenes like those shown below?!
Novice! If you want to try to make this app, you can use the artwork below to use for the door numbering:
(We made the split numbers with PhotoShop! Take a PhotoShop course, kiddies!!!)
